@rik I see these two issues. Would you, please, add them to your issue tracker?
- scheduled switch between dark and light theme does not work. Night light switch works though.
- Restart from updater notification after update is complete does not work.

Thanks for the feedback:
This one is already reported here: Automatic Dark / Light theme switching not working (#59) · Issues · ota / issue-tracker · GitLab and seems to be a broad LineageOS issue (not device specific).
Does it not attempt to restart at all, or instead does it “hang” needing a long-press power cycle restart?
@rik Sorry for my late response, I didn’t get a notification.
As stated in the theme issue there is no reaction from LineageOS developers. Unfortunately this is my experience with LineageOS bugs for years. Do you have a “special channel” to reach them?
Tapping on restart in the update notification simply does nothing.
No, sorry. They prefer bug reports specific to a device, and also on currently supported LineageOS version. If you “pile on” to an old bug or to an identical but not for the reported device in the issue they will get a bit grumpy (as me how I know!
).
I have a Pixel 6 on iodé 7.3 beta which has the refactored interface from “LOS 23.2” (due to A16 QPR2) and am waiting 1 more minute to test if dark mode will disable… and it just worked!!!
So this is far from conclusive but it auto-switching of dark/light theme may just work once 7.3 is released. I have not tested based on sunrise / sunset, on other devices etc. so more testing needed.

Is there an ETA for iodé 7 for the Shiftphone 6mq? Does this depend on the LineageOS maintainer for this device? One of them works in his free time on it and is a Shiftphone developer who is very busy with the ROM for the Shiftphone 8.1.
Does this mean that a poorly maintained LineageOS ROM also means a poorly maintained iodeOS ROM?
Is the non working updater notification an iodé or an LineageOS issue?
Yes.
That’s a misunderstanding. This question was related to 2. in my OP.
Yes sorry I jumbled a few things together, I will just remove the post above.
But to the question about the updater not able to reboot, if you manually reboot is the update applied? Or does it not apply the update and you are left without the update? If the second, I will have to pass this to the developer to test (I don’t have a Shift device to check with).
The updater shows a notification when the update is ready to reboot, and that notification contains a button to reboot. It is only that button that does simply nothing. Other ways to reboot work normal so that the update is applied correctly.
Most times I didn’t use that button in the notification because between the finished update and reboot I install Magisk to the updated slot. So I cannot tell when the issue began. But I noticed it at the last two updates (currently I am on 6.12), it is not a one time issue. And according to the first issue in this thread I expect the SHIFT6mq to remain on v6 for a while.
