LineageOS on Android 16 will be released in the near future. After some time, a new version of IodeOS (v7) should be released, based on the new version of LineageOS (A16). However, Google has stopped releasing source code for Pixel phones starting with Android 16. Does this mean that the new release of IodeOS (v7) will lose the ability to re-lock the bootloader for Pixel devices?
As far as I understand, the lack of ability to fully compile the firmware image (the source codes of the pixel tree are not available, only the framework is available) will not allow signing images with the same key (when releasing updates/changes). But I may be wrong of course)
Hi again, everyone!
Back with a quick question:
Do you have any estimated timeline for adapting A16 to iodeOS now that we have the first version of LineageOS 23 available?
I know it is being worked on, but there is no official ETA, but keep watching the News app and / or the blog and / or this forum. Certainly we will be making a post when it is ready!
