Yesterday I updated to 7.6 and suddenly I couldn’t access my Home Assistant Server anymore (which is IPv6 only because my ISP only provides DS-Lite connections).
- I tested a bunch of IPv6 only websites like https://dnslabs.nl/ and always get
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.
- I executed
ping6 google.com in termux and get a 100% lost-rate.
All other devices on my network work perfectly fine and if I use mobile internet it works on the phone too. So only WLAN on the FP6 is affected, afaict.
Does anybody else have this problem? I am a bit doomed without being able to access my Smarthome on my phone.
Thank you @vince31fr! I was reading a bit and between the comments of people who are extremly p*ssed, I found a link to Googles Issue-Tracker. So it seems to be an AOSP-issue of which companies implement their individual fixes (uneducated guess).
I wish Fairphone would do something about their poor software. A sustainable phone that nobody wants because it doesn’t work right, doesn’t really help their mission. I used to own FP3 & FP5 and both have software that is broken in its own way. Maybe I should switch to Linux at some point, at least I can use basic features like IPv6 then

I’d say this is a case for Lineage to fix but as far as I know, Lineage does not actually support the FP6. Iode does, so the supplied patch in Google’s Issue tracker should probably be applied by Iode?
Meanwhile FP6 is an official LOS device.
The patches from the Google Issue tracker don’t help, it seems to be an issue in the blobs from FPOS.
They do now:
Became official in the last couple of weeks.
And there’s an official LineageOS for mic4oG build for it too:
