iodéOS 6.4 speaker auto on problem

Hi All,

I have a Pixel 8 and have updated from iodé 6.3 to 6.4. Now with 6.4 when I answer an incoming call it automatically switches phone speaker on and cannot switch it back off.
I tried to install new phone app from F-droid but it does the same: does not allow to turn off speaker, so the problem it is not with the phone app itself, rather a system setting. Phone restart did not help either.
Did anybody experience the same? I was looking for any global setings to disable auto speaker on call but did not find anything.
Is there any setting I can do or is it a global issue?

Thanks in advance for sharig your experience/thoughts.

I have the exact same issue on a Brax3.

Android version 15. iodeOS version 6.8.20250929-brax3.

I can’t find an single setting in here to change this.

Funny thing is, I have a second, exact phone, exact hardware, and version. The other phone does not have this issue.

It was not like this when we received them, and when the last update came in. She does not recall anything she did to start this.

Accessibility section has zero settings related to speaker phone.

Just plain nuts.

@Jolly0326 if you could update to 7.2 and re-test it may be solved.

To upgrade to version 7, you need to first install an update to the “Updater app” itself, as described in our iodé 7 release announcement: iodéOS 7 is Now Officially Available! - iodé So follow the link there to install the v6-to-v7.apk and then the upgrade to 7.2 should proceed.

The reason this one-time manual process is needed is due to LineageOS (our upstream source) making a change that disabled major version upgrades by default.
