Whenever I start iodé News (version 1.2.3), I have been getting a black screen for about a month now; no possible to change any settings. When I look into App Info, I see that the app has used about 3 MB data during the last month (but never displayed it); and that I have not restricted the app in any way. FairPhone 4; iodé latest version.

Moi pareil depuis la mise à jour vers iode 6.2
Was the same for me on FP5 after the update to iodé 6.2.
Clearing storage and cache of the News app solved the problem.

I’m on Samsung crownlte. Since iode 4.22, the News app shows nothing when opened (only a blank screen). I’ve tried clearing cache but no difference. Is this a bug?
Opening the “AppInfo” and clearing the app storage and cache, was working for me.

Merging the topics. This is indeed an issue common to all devices we will take a look into.
In the meantime the solution is to clear storage and cache of News app as ForFair said
