Iode für das a52s 5G

Genial, dass es das A52s nun auch mit iode gibt. Das lässt hoffen. Ich habe schon eines, für das ich aktuell nur LineageOS zur Verfügung habe. Ist mit einer Anleitung und mit Packeten zur Selbstinstallation zu rechnen?

Flash instructions have not been written yet, but in brief, they will be a short summary of lineage ones. So you just can use lineage instructions but use iodé files; no more, no less.

Flash-Anleitungen wurden noch nicht geschrieben, aber kurz gesagt, werden sie eine kurze Zusammenfassung der Lineage-Anleitungen sein. Sie können also nur Lineage-Anleitungen, aber keine Jodé-Dateien verwenden; nicht mehr und nicht weniger.

Flashing vbmeta.tar with Odin3 (2 Versions tested) fails! No Idea why! File fron iodé lets Odin3 crash. Tried two Versions from iode (different snapshots) then flashing starts, but ends with a Fail an no reboot. Tried different USB Ports. Tried different Ways to reach download-mode (adb / buttons). Nothing helped.

I did not have a SIM card in the device while I was trying out the phone and unlocking the bootloader. Could that be a Problem?

Files must be renamed to vbmeta.img and recovery.img before generating the tar archives.

OK, that explains the crashing of odin3 with the iodé file. My mistake. But the lineage file was named vbmeta by default.

vorsicht, kein VoLTE (HD Calls)und kein VoWifi unter Iode / lineage auf Samsung Phones…

Danke. Aber das habe ich auf dem S9+ und S10+ auch nicht vermisst.

VoLTE/WoWifi work on a52s, as it is a qualcomm-based phone.

Hi,
ich bin mal so frei und schließe mich hier an. Ich hab grad ein A52s gekauft und möchte da gerne iodé installieren. Beim Kauf war da noch die Android 13 und OneUI 5.x drauf, beim letzten angezeigten Update wurde dann Android 13 und OneUI 6.0 installiert - nicht aufgepasst… :zipper_mouth_face:

Frage: ist Android 14 und OneUI 6.0 ein Problem, wenn ich iodé 4.7 oder 4.8 installieren will?

I’ll take the liberty of joining in here. I’ve just bought an A52s and would like to install iodé. When I bought it, it still had Android 13 and OneUI 5.x on it, then Android 13 and OneUI 6.0 were installed with the last update displayed - I wasn’t paying attention… :zipper_mouth_face:

Question: is Android 14 and OneUI 6.0 a problem if I want to install iodé 4.7 or 4.8?

I too, can confirm that HD-audio-calls work on an A52s with Iodé 4.8
