Hi folks,
quick question: I’m using the iodé Browser and changed the settings to “erase history when closing the browser”. But, surprise, surprise, when I open the browser again, it still “knows” and shows my complete surfing history. Am I missing something?
iodé-browser is a fork of firefox and with firefox you always have to end via the menu (at the bottom “quit”) to erase history, cookies etc., you can’t just swipe to close.
OK… but then why is this option/function offered in the settings of the iodé browser? It works in “Fennec” without problems. You just close the browser and the complete history is gone…
M.
P.S.: “you can’t just swipe to close.” I don’t swipe down to close the browser, I quit it the proper way…
What is the proper way to close the browser? I use Mull which is also a fork of fennec and it deletes the browser data only if I use the close button in the menu.
Hi @Jonnsy,
so far I’ve no experience with “Mull”, but the difference should not be too big.
To me the “proper way” to close a/the browser is to tap on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the screen->scroll down the menu, that’s opened up->select close and that’s it.
On “Fennec” the browsing history is erased, on “Iodé Browser” it’s not…
