Introduction to iodeOS

Hi,

I found iodeOS, after I was looking to de-google my Xiaomi Mi 9. I am currently using EvoX, which is based on LineageOS, but comes with google apps.

Now I got a few questions:

  1. What Android version is that iodeOS based on? Will it yearly upgrade A14, A15 etc?
  2. Will there be monthly security patches for my phone Mi 9?
  3. Can I still use bank apps I always got from Play Store before?
  4. what exactly does iodeOS except not having google apps and using another DNS server?

Hope you can help me out a bit!. Maybe there also some articles I could read to find my answers, feel free to recommend them!

Iode is also based on LOS.

And the mi 9 is currently no longer supported by LOS according to:

Mi9 is on A13 at iode
See list here in the forum.

At least there are monthly sec updates.
