Installers for Samsung phones in the pipeline?

Hello everyone. I’m new to degoogled phone (actually transiting from iPhone). Currently, I’m on lineage but I’d like to install iodé OS on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

  1. Is there development for an installer?
  2. Where can I find communities that help with installation (local groups); in my case in Berlin Germany?
    Thank you!

Super, vielen Dank! Thanks a lot!

Samsung phones are not supported by our installer yet. There is some ongoing work to support them, but in the meantime you must follow the install guide.

Understand that all Samsungs lose VoLTE capability upon installation of a custom ROM. With no VoLTE, phone calls will not be possible, unless your mobile carrier still has 2G or 3G networks. It’s my understanding that all 3G has been shut down in Germany, and only Vodafone still has 2G, but they plan to shut that down soon, too.

That’s the current state of things with Samsung, anyway.

According to heise GSM-Netz: Telekom setzt Termin für die Abschaltung | heise online Vodafone shuts down GSM in 2030?

The guys at topio are awesome, they did help me a lot with my first steps around degoogled phones. Go check 'em out!

I didn’t hear something about an installer for Samsung phones, bc Samsung is a bit protective and messy when it comes to custom roms.

Good luck with the installation process!

I hope that’s true, as otherwise I’ll also end up with a lot of pocketsized-cutting boards like @sts61

But now I know where the bad call quality on my S10es comes from…

Thank you all for the important info.
Just to get this right, we‘re talking about regular phone calls, not, say Signal calls albeit without WiFi?

VoLTE is a mobile carrier call thing. Lack of it doesn’t affect the use of data in general.
