Installer - pixel 6a

Hi all. First time for me here. I just tried to install iodé on a pixel 6a, using the installer tool. First: THANKS for setting up this tool for dummies. I feel miserable everytime I read instructions like ‘flash chihuahua stock ROM using this command in ADB’, so it is a huge +. Second: the whole installation stuff was easy peasy, the tool is very (dummy) user friendly, I went as far as the donation page. I restarted the phone and, unexpectedly, I was back to Google android (new installation). Before relaunchibg the tool, I would greatly benefit from any advice to figure out what went possibly wrong. The only weird stage was when the phone displayed the option menu ‘reboot/recovery mode/fast boot/…’ etc and the installer did not provide any instruction so it’s likely that I went for ‘reboot’. Then the installer proposed to choose to lock/unlock the bootloader (I chose to lock it) then restart on the phone menu, and Google android reinstalled itself, to my utmost disappointment.

Solved. I just installed the USB android driver as suggested in other posts and relaunched the installer. Everything went smoothly.

Hi.

Which version of stock android did you have before flashing iodéOS ? Android 16 or 17 ?

I think it was Android 17, although the current version (iodé os) is 16. I did not have to roll back to 16 myself.
