Installer on FP 5 -- solved

I am trying to install Iode on Fairphone 5 with the installer (Win 10).
Unfortunately, I can’t get any further.
It hangs on “checking bootloader status” Does anyone have any tips on what I am doing wrong?

Bootloader was still unlocked. If someone has the same problem, more information here:

I am having the same issue, but my bootloader is unlocked. I have even tried to install other OSs wondering if it was an installer issue, but it won’t work with any OS. It just gets stuck as fastboot trying to find the device. in ADB it finds the device, but won’t in fastboot. I have tried on windows and wsl. I even tried on a mac with another OS. I can’t figure out what I need to do!
