I recently migrated from CalyxOS on a Pixel 6a to iodeOS on a Pixel 6a. I just noticed that both my IMEI numbers (Physical and eSIM) say “unknown” and I am unable to use cellular data, nor receive calls or texts. I am unsure how this happened, or what to do so if there’s anything at all I can provide, please let me know what I can do.
Thanks
Edit: I’ve done a bit of researching and a lot of what I’m seeing online is people saying this is an issue I’d either have to root and change my IMEIs back to what they were, or send it in for a repair. I’m really hoping that isn’t the case. Would returning to stock software fix this issue?
Oooof! That is a bad one, you aren’t certain how it happened?
I think if I were you I would try to restore to stock using flash.android.com from a Chrom(ium) based browser (but navigate around to go for the “older build” A15 as that is what iodéOS is based on still), then confirm IMEI is restored, and then proceed after that.
Hi! I appreciate you reaching out again. I wasn’t able to get to it until this morning due to a busy schedule this week. It appears to have fixed the issue. I have no idea what happened the first flash around. I’ve flashed it with stock and then iode again and haven’t noticed any problems yet. I’ll let you know in the other thread about the work profile. It hasn’t crashed yet installing new. It’s entirely possible i just got bad luck on the first install, haha.
