I need to update my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to iodè3 at least

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960F) with iodeéOS 2.15, last updated on September 22, 2023.
I have some apps I use for work that require at least something compatible with Android 12.

I downloaded the iodé installer on my Windows machine, but when plugged in, it says the device it is not supported. Is it really true that I can not update to anything higher than my current release?

Please, I need some guidance.

Thank you.

Your windows PC needs to be enabled in test mode if you are trying to load up any software that doesn’t have a signature or has a signature that is not recognised by MS. If the PC is in test mode it will confirm it in the lower right hand corner of the screen when you power up.

hi
If I’m not mistaken, there was something with the encryption…it has changed.

that means you have to do a new installation.

that means…back up your data first.

no guarantee…that was a long time ago.

greetings

Upgrading from 2.x to 4.x or higher means you have to setup you device from scratch

Hi, even with a new installation, I would get the same message of my version not being supported. I don’t understand. I bought this phone from iodé itself, and the company still sells it…

Thank you.

The galaxy Note 9 is currently on iode 4.9: crownlte · master · ota / release · GitLab
here are the instrucions to flash a new install:
ota / ota · GitLab
hope that helps!

it doesn’t work with the installer.
You need the manual installation.
