Hi iodéOS community

Hi
Just wanted to say hello - I am new here.

I became interested with this project through an excellent mention of it on youtube:

I have tried to install iode on a newly bought (for the purpose of installing iode on it ) Fairphone 5 phone.
I have been having fun trying to install it from Linux Mint, linux ubuntu and from windows 10 and via the cli with the bash script on mint. But it always stops midways. I will not give up the endevour so I now will try to peruse this forum to see if anyone has had the same problems as I and see if I through this, can find tips to get it installed.

Looking forward to communicating with you …

Welcome, and some recommendations:

  • Use a device-specific title to the post if you think your problem might be device-specific. Tell us which version of the stock software you are on, and make sure it’s upgraded before installing.
  • If you describe exactly which step the installer fails at, it’ll make it easier to troubleshoot.
  • Make sure you have enabled developer options and OEM unlocking. Fairphone provides a guide here: https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/10492476238865-Manage-the-Bootloader
  • Make sure you use a good USB cable, and the USB port you are using is a direct USB connection and not for example one of the USB ports on the front of a desktop machine or some kind of hub.
