GPS not working

Hi,
my wife and I have two identical smartphones (Fairphone 3), both running iodéOS 6.7. My smartphone does not get a fix at all or only after a long time (30 mins or more) and especially not, when I have no mobile and no wifi connection. The smartphone of my wife gets a fix usually in less than 2 minutes. I checked all settings (see this list), and these are identical. To further track down this issue, I positioned bothe phones on a table outside, started the app GPSStatus and watched what was happening - see the result in the following two screenshots:

The first one is the smartphone of my wife, the second one is my smartphone. I hit on both smartphones PSDS-Daten einspeisen and Zeit-Daten laden in the app GPSstatus.
Looking at this, I would suspect a hardware error on my phone. Any other ideas?

Can you confirm that the “microG Location service” matches between the 2 phones?

System Settings > System > microG > Location > 3 dots > select online location service

“Position” (suggested option) will give the most accurate results.

I am not familiar with the GPSStatus apps, maybe it doesn’t tie into assisted GPS, but is using only hardware GPS? If that is true, then the microG location settings won’t be used at all I believe, and it may be more hardware related.

Hi @rik,
yes, both phones have “Position” as online location service.

I received a suggestion that you install this: GPSTest | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository

And then using it you can delete assist data on both phones then retry them to compare.
