Google maps

Since installing 7.4 beta I’m unable to get street view, is this coincidence or a google limitation

What do you mean by “unable to get street view”?
If you mean you’re unable to get Google Street View within Google Maps working, this is working fine for me on the latest beta.

Yes that what I mean, I’ve uninstalled google maps and reinstalled following a phone restart. But no success, can I revert back to 7.3 and also skip 7.4 and install 7.5 if and when arrives?.

By the I was and using the work profile, I’ll try the personal profile first.

Well Aurora error, “App not available for your device” , in fact I get that message for all apps with personal profile but not in work profile

I am on 7.4 and it works here, can you elaborate what exactly is the problem? Like is it crashing, showing an error, is the button missing, something like that?

Google maps works , I enable the layers and and zoom and to the blue line on map and hold down in the past a window opened with a street view.. But not now

Holding down doesn’t work for me either, I have to tap the street.

I’ll try that, thanks

Ive got aurora working in personal profile by clearing storage and cache

Maps gone worse now in not showing a map at all.

I’m giving up on google maps , instead Ive installed Google maps GO which works ,it doesn’t have Street view

Same here. Maps stuck at loading and nothing works. Do we have a working version?

Downgrading Android has risk of leading to data loss so we don’t support it, sorry.

I would guess?? that the issue is at the microG level? Will need a bit more research.

For me Google Maps just doesn’t load anything at all, I’ll also switch to GMaps Go in the meantime. However, the issues started arising already with 7.3, and I thought switching to 7.4 could fix that, which it did not.

My guess is, that Google changed something on the serverside and microG hasn’t catched up yet. I also got a push notification from GMaps telling me that I have to update Play Services.

OK thanks, I’ll not downgrade

Thanks I’ll wait got an update

Till we get a fix you can meanwhile downgrade Google maps to version 1068495399 (March release)

It works still fine

I am finding this issue at microG: Google Maps not working after updating to 26.13.06.887680004 · Issue #3375 · microg/GmsCore · GitHub

It seems the issue is with v0.3.13 of microG. I’m feeling smug that LOS4microG is still shipping v0.3.12 (because of a bug in the microG F-Droid repo I think).

Spoke too soon. Latest update of Maps is broken, even with the old microG. Uninstalled, then manually downloaded and installed version 1068455628, and everything seems to be working again.

I’ve restarted phone and aurora won’t manually download 1068455628, insists on installing 1068505957.

So at least Maps Go works

Finally got it off APKmirror , and working
