Bonjour à tous,

Venant de quitter Murena, car extrêmement déçu de leur smartphone Murena One que j’ai dû renvoyer trois fois pour finalement parvenir à me faire rembourser, je ne veux cependant pas quitter ce monde des OS alternatifs, et qui plus est français.
J’ai découvert Iodé il y a déjà quelques temps et pense m’orienter sur un Pixel 5 reconditionné.
Qu’en pensez-vous ?
Est-il possible de connecter un compte NextCloud facilement ? Ceci afin de récupérer mes contacts et l’agenda entre autres.

Yes. There are FOSS apps in F-Droid that will work with the murena.io cloud

  • DAVx5 and ICSx5 to sync contacts and calendars
  • NextCloud sync client app to sync files, documents and photos
  • NextCloud Notes or QuillPad for notes
  • Tasks.org for tasks and To Dos

Merci de votre réponse, il faudra donc que j’installe Davx et Tasks.
Pas de souci particulier avec le Google Pixel 5 sous Iodé OS ?

Wifi calling does not work for iode on redfin. It works ok on other operating systems.

I always found the volume in calls a bit low, so phone conversations in noisy environment was sometimes difficult.

Since redfin I have also owned Pixels 6a, 7a and 8; all very good devices and noticeably better than redfin. Wifi calling works. If only they could be the same size as redfin!

I’m running redfin, bluejay and lynx with iodéOS
No problems on all of them
redfin is a very good device. no reason to change it.
and, all others are much bigger and heavier

Thank you for this clarification. So I can go for a Pixel 6 without any preconceived ideas.
I’m sorry, but my experience with Murena has left me cold.

But iodéOS is also a custom ROM that is concerned with security and privacy.
It is not a stock ROM, has no GAPPS and no original PlayServices.
You have to be aware of that. Everything will Never work like it did.
But it’s definitely better than /e/OS. It can only be better!

I think you will be quite pleased with iode on P6. A big improvement of device and OS.

No worries there. I’ve been using alternative ROMs without Gapps for several years now, and I’m fine with it.

Je suis sous iodéOS depuis quelques temps (années ?) sur mon Xiaomi Mi 9 (Cepheus) que je viens de changer par un Pixel 6 reconditioné après de loyaux services.

Mon choix de téléphone avait comme critère principal sa compatibilité avec IodéOS c’est dire la qualité que j’accorde à cette ROM.

Vous pouvez donc y aller les yeux fermé.

Pour Nextcloud je l’utilise moi-même pour mes. ontacts, mes photos et mes sauvegardes de SMS et applications.

I’ve been using iodeOS for some time (years?) on my Xiaomi Mi 9 (Cepheus), which I’ve just changed for a refurbished Pixel 6 after loyal service.

The main criterion for my choice of phone was its compatibility with IodéOS, which shows how much I value this ROM.

So you can go ahead with your eyes closed.

I use Nextcloud myself for my contacts, photos, SMS and application backups.

Pixel 6 reçu aujourd’hui, il fonctionne du tonnerre. Et Iodé est incroyablement agréable à utiliser.

  • est-ce qu’un client courriel est livré avec Iodé ?

Bonjour zelandonii,

In the Settings app. go to Settings, Apps, Preinstalled apps and select the apps you wish to remove.

You will also notice the email client there in it’s own section.
