FP4: iodé 7.4 and FPOS

Currently I am on iodé 6.13 and want to take the step to 7.4 sooner or later.

Since it is required to wipe the user data this time, should I first flash the original FPOS (https://android-builds.fairphone.com/FP4/A15/FP4.QREL.15.16.1.20260220155828.user-factory.zip) to update certain components, if any?

According to the overview iodéOS official supported devices - iodé the firmware is included, but the fastboot archive of iodé does not flash the modem partition (but core_nhlos).

Probably I should wait for the next release of iodé to catch up the security patch level of March 2026?

Afaict, the modem-firmware is in the core_nhlos-partition. So iodeOS would overwrite whatever FPOS installs as modem-firmware anyway.

The latest Beta for FP6 is on security-patchlevel 2026-03-01 already, not sure about FP4 though.

No I don’t think there is anything to gain by flashing back to FPOS if you already have iodéOS 6.x installed. Current builds of FP4-6 devices all have the March 2026 security update as I understand.
