Fairphone5 update from 4.1 to 7.7

I got a Fairphone 5 from a friend with iodé 4.1.
I wanted to update it to 7.7 by downloading the ota.zip and installing it. But it does not work.
My question is:
Where do I find all ota-files from 4.1 to 7.7 to update the phone step by step?

In case there is no repository for these old files: what shall I do?

‘Does not work’ is a very broad explanation. Did you use fastboot or localupdate? Are there any messages showing while you attempt it? As far as I know FP5 should be able to get updated with a ota zip.

What you also could do, since I expect not data from you on it, you could flash like a clean install

Thank you for your answer.
I tried ota local update. There is no specific error message. Installation just does not work.
My question to the community ist: where can I find old ota.zip files (I have already downloaded fixes/Updater-v6-to-v7.apk · master · ota / ota · GitLab )
But I first need to get it to a 6-version of iode to install that and then go to 7.6 or 7.7

The v6 to v7 updater was required because of an issue in the updater itself embedded in v6, not a required step to upgrade to v7. In principle it should be possible to upgrade from v4 to v7, although that’s a big gap. The intermediate versions are not available. You could try to sideload with adb in recovery, maybe the local update fails but sideload could work, or show useful error messages.

Thank you for your answer.

It is a pity that older versions are not available.
Because, as you write: it is just in theory that you can update from 4.1 to 7.7 (or similar).
I will try sideload then. Although I do not understand why this should work, actually.

BTW: I would provide an error message, if I only got one.
The only thing that happens: Updater Window closes.

As nothing else worked or files were not available, as someone wrote, I made an install instead.
