Fairphone’s default camera app on IodéOS possible?

I just read the release note for /e/os v2.2 released this week and was surprised to read this:

Fairphone 4

• You’ll now be able to enjoy Fairphone’s default camera app to take pictures if you want to, you just need to enable one setting in Settings > Apps > Fairphone Camera and reboot your phone. Warning though, for now the video mode does not work, it’ll be fixed in a next release.
• The 48MP/50MPx mode has been added into /e/OS Camera for this phone

Do you think IodéOS could soon propose something equivalent?

/e/os just add an option for using the default camera app on FP5 too.

Fairphone 4 and 5

• You’ll now be able to enjoy Fairphone’s default camera app on your Fairphone 5 to take pictures and videos if you want to, you just need to enable one setting and reboot your phone
• The video mode of Fairphone’s default camera app is now working on the Fairphone 4

I think it’s really nice to be able to take advantage of Fairphone’s work on the camera app on a custom ROM.

I didn’t know this is possible in /e/os. That would be really cool for iode. Can I install the camera app myself already. Where do I get it from?

So, from what I recall, the FP4/5 camera is developed by Fairphone. The folks at e/os had to get permission to pull that app into the OS. So I don’t know if you can just download and install it.

I just remember reading the discussion about that, way back then.
