But I have 1-2 random shutdowns of the system per day. The last days I did not use the phone and when I picked it up, it was down and I had to start it new. Today it executed a shutdown during usage.
I received the new phone last week (directly from Fairphone), did an update to the newest android version and installed than iode.
Some one else with the the issue? How can I analyse the issue?
iodé have the (security) feature of automatic reboot after a configurable period without any user activity. This puts the phone in a more secure state where user data is not decrypted (BFU before unlock).
It should be off by default, but maybe there is a schedule chosen?
Check via Settings → Security & Privacy → More security & Privacy
I booted it with the original stock android system, checked it and did an update. I did not run it long enough (for days) to confirm, that the issue exists or not exists with the original stock android. I went than directly to the iode installation process.
For me it is, no random shutdowns. To rule out a hardware defect, maybe switching back to FairphoneOS and letting it run for some days would be a good idea.
Last Saturday 3 power offs in one hour. Since than nothing - no further random shutdown. Really strang behaviour. I will observe it further. And otherwise follow your advise. I was not aware, that Fairphone offers the Android ROMs. That’s greate.
