Experience installing iode

So I was running calyx, and with the recent brake on developement I decided to try iodé for the first time.
What I did?
I unlocked the bootloader with fastboot then used the installer to install it, the only problem I ran into was not locking the bootloader once I saw “finished” in the logs and very likely because of that the isntaller gave me an install error.
But I started the phone and iodé was installed as expected, and I relocked the bootloader and I have everything as expected.

Was it the graphical installer or the fastboot image that you then ran the flash-all.sh (or flash-all.bat) on?

If when it prompted you to lock / unlock, then, yes, the actual install has completed, but it shouldn’t error unless you do nothing and maybe it just timed out, or instead maybe you unplugged or something at that point, thus confusing the install script (or GUI)?

Anyway, I think you should be up and running! What device, BTW?

There is a bit of polishing needing for the app, but one more clarification is when the installer prompts you for lock or unlock, then your phone should wake up, where you complete the interaction (replying yes lock or no don’t lock). So if you didn’t interact with the phone at that point, then the timeout (and subsequent error?) may have triggered.

maybe I got the error because I unlock it manually with fastboot before starting the installer graphical app. And I never got an imput to lock the bootloader. I supposed it was the time to do so after I saw “finished” in the logs.
