Hi,

I like to use iodé OS on my Essential PH-1 phone now i’m using LineageOS 22.1 on it, i tryed the GSI version but that do not run it starts but get stuck on boot and nothing happens anymore, i would like to compile it myself but my laptop would be to slow for that so i hope someone here could make the rom for the device? Thanks!

Unfortunately, iodé is unlikely to adopt old (2017) and rare hardware. since it is a small audience. And certainly if they don’t themselves have the device.
three things you CAN do:

  1. Pressure your government to pass laws forcing manufacturers to release the source code on abandoned devices.
  2. revert to stock and use adb-shell to remove any preinstalled (OEM, google) spyware and malware.
  3. purchase a compatible device for iodéOS from a second hand market or from the shop

Ok anyway it’s still updated by some devs on XDA and also on LineageOS itself, thanks for the info but i love the device to mutch and it works better for me the newer devices and also i forgot /e/OS also support it still…
BTW: Essential has relased the source code some time ago :wink:

Yes i know i’m running that now, i was just asking if someone would build it as a community device for iodé os, but no big deal thanks for the info :wink:
