Email didn't get through to the support

Hi
In what time frame can I expect a response from the iodé support?
I have been waiting several days for a reply to my email to the support.

Hi
Did you bought a phone from Iode or have you made donations to the Iode team?

I want to buy a iodé phone and have a question regarding the order.

(FOR)FAIRphone?

Haha, yes

You should ask here also the question.. Maybe you’ll get an answer faster.
Good luck to you… I’m a notfairphoner

Thank you.
Well, it’s a question specifically regarding my order, so I guess it can be answered only by the iodé team.

By the way, how many people are on the iodé team?

I think vince31fr is part of the team/might be the “boss”.. other members I don’t know, but hopefully others will give you more information.
But being privacy-focused they might like their privacy

There are reports here that there is no response at all. But it can also be faster.

Thanks for that; it has escaped me.. Who of the 5 guys left?

Thank you.

I don’t understand this. If I want to buy a phone that pays for their work, and have a question before I buy it, and the answer to that question determines whether I can buy the phone or not, then it should be in their own interest to answer the question.

The team I guess.. seems strange that some moderators have not visited the forum for quite a while..

In the end there are always only two

Right, it should be.
But that’s not always the case.

iode is one of the few communities where the team is least visible, and questions wait endlessly for answers or aren’t answered at all. You might get used to it over the years.

That doesn’t encourage me to buy a phone with iodéOS.
How is that going to work out if there’s a problem and I can’t get help?

@AlphaElwedritsch is being (jokingly?) cynical, but frankly a bit truthful also since he has been part of the community for some time and has seen questions go unaswered. To iodés’ defense, they are a small team, but I can surely say that it is their best intention to serve you well.

On a side note, I did meet with Antoiné last week to discuss better organization to this community forum and now have been given moderator permissions to help ease some of that load. You may see that all posts from the past years have been at least roughly categorized now and when you come to the forum to browse you will see the categories first, with the recent posts across all categories on the side.

Back to your (missing?) email, I am just a volunteer and don’t have any access to the email request you sent. I would encourage you to please resend it, possibly it has gotten buried by spam or other, and hopefully you will find a timely reply from the iodé team as they are able.

I don’t see Alpha’s statement as funny or cynical … but unfortunately as a hard truth.

Also my experience with iode over 3 years. (Not with this account)

@Rick
I wish you good luck and hope you steer it in the right direction.

what someone wrote here in the forum and was criticized for it…even though the statement is correct.

say what you’re doing… and do what you say

I have emailed it directly to @Oliver now, since he seems to be responsible for the website and the German market.

@rik
Thank you for helping and moderating in the forum!
I noticed that no keyword “Fairphone5” exists.
I guess it might be useful to have that. Could you create that?
