Does iode blocker block access to SDcard and filesystem?

A couple of days ago I downloaded some pictures from my camera to my FP4 with the iode 5.8, to a DCIM folder on my sdcard. Gallery can see the pictures just fine.

I use Immich, which is a self-hosted cloud photos platform, and have the app loaded from the fdroid store. It’s been working just fine. But yesterday I went in to upload my pictures from my FP4 to my server, however, immich could not see any photos on the sdcard. It could see the folders, but no actual pictures (with the immich backup feature).

So I spent about an hour today searching immich forums, uninstalling and reinstalling, looking for .nomedia files, etc etc. Just out of the blue I decided to turned off the iode blocker for the immich app, and suddenly immich could see all my pictures on the sdcard.

I searched the forums here, but have not found anything indicating that the blocker is controlling file access. I wanted to see if this is in fact possible with the iode blocker. My streams and reports show NO BLOCKING activity in the blocker also, so I’m confused. I do have a premium subscription to the iode blocker as well.

Thanks!

The blocker works only on DNS and IP level

Yeah, I kinda thought it was like that, but I found it very odd that once I opened it up suddenly my app worked. Who knows. I’ll play with it and see what othyer oddities I can find

This is actually a Gallery issue in Lineage.
