It would be nice to have a “Disable Iode for [time]” drop-down menu in the iode application, so that it automatically re-enable the blocker after a period of time.
I think something like that would look nice and be easy to use:

I’ve been thinking about the same thing. But on a per app basis.
I have some apps installed that I do not trust at all and that “call home” frequently (Audible,Google Docs,…). I’d love to be able to sandbox them in general and only allow access to the internet for a given time when needed.
Thinking about it, things would be a bit more complicated.
I’d like to keep some filters intact when allowing web access to those apps.
So it would be more like “switching profiles for a given time”
What would be your use-case?
Sometimes I have to disable the blocker because it is causing an application to malfunction and I don’t have time at that particular moment to put in a rule or change any settings.
It may seem a bit silly but I’m sure I’m not the only one who has left the blocker inactive by mistake.
No no no!
Absolutely NOT silly.
Same thing happens to me frequently when “temporarily” turning off smart loading of my battery in order to get maximum charge for a traveling day
