Hello, I don’t have a Iodé/OS yet.
May I ask you where are the contacts saved ? Only on your device, or they are saved on another place, or perhaps synchonised with Dav5x ??
Currently on my mobile, all contacts are sync with a cloud provided by the manufacturer ( Murena.io). But it has an outage since October and I took a copy in .vcf format

I sync contacts and calendar via davx5 to a nextclud instance. And icsx5 shared ics calendars
If your own Nextcloud is too complicated for you…and you only want to synchronize contacts and calendars…take a look at Radical…small server software for CalDAV, CardDAV.
I run it on a raspi.
Radicale is a interesting solution. Thanks. But I already have a lot of files on a Nextcloud instance by Zaclys. I’ll try to sync my contacts in that direction as soon as possible…
In conclusion, iodéOS does not impose any systems to save our contacts on a cloud, but certainly propose a pre-installed app to manage them

no… iode doesn’t do that.
no… iode doesn’t have that… why would it… they’re all just suggestions and you don’t have to install any of them
… then try the free tier of hosted NextCloud at thegood.cloud

I still use my MurenaOne but it has problems, and I look at the offers of iodéOS

It can create a local account for all your contacts.
