I’ve a phone that run under an alterate OS ( MURENA /e/OS ) but it no longer works properly
If I buy a new one preinstalled with iodé, how can I download my contacts. They are currently saved on a .vcf file

You should be able to transfer the .vcf to your PC, then later upload and use “Import” in the Contacts app.
Note that you could keep using Murena’s online cloud and set up your iodé phone to sync contacts and calendar with DavX5 (not installed by default but easily obtained from F-Droid). Or you can take the opportunity to migrate to another online Nextcloud provider (or host your own, etc).
