Depuis ce matin, sans mise à jour (iodé 6.5)
J’ai essayé d’envoyer des messages à un contact n°1 (SMS et MMS) or les messages étaient envoyés à un autre contact n°2
J’ai redémarré le téléphone, j’ai essayé d’envoyer le message en passant par les contacts, en répondant à un message existant, en créant une nouvelle conversation et en renommant les contacts. J’ai vérifié si ce n’était pas une conversation groupée
Et cet après-midi, en voulant répondre au contact n°2 qui recevait les messages, c’est un 3ème contact qui recevait mes messages. Alors que ce matin, quand je répondais au contact n°2, c’est bien lui qui recevait mes messages
Pensant que cela venait de l’application “Message 1.2.1”, j’ai voulu appeler le contact n°2 or c’est le contact n°3 qui a été appelé
Avez-vous une idée car c’est vraiment très gênant ?

I tried to send messages to a contact n°1 (SMS and MMS) but the messages were sent to another contact n°2.
I restarted the phone, tried to send the message by going through the contacts, replying to an existing message, creating a new conversation and renaming the contacts. I checked that it wasn’t a group conversation.
And this afternoon, when I tried to reply to contact n°2 who was receiving the messages, a 3rd contact was receiving my messages. Whereas this morning, when I replied to contact n°2, he was the one receiving my messages.
Thinking it was coming from the “Message 1.2.1” application, I tried to call contact no. 2, but it was contact no. 3 who was called.
Do you have any ideas, as this is really annoying?
Very strange! I think we need to see if anyone else can confirm this. I have known of a similar issue in years’ past but that was with Ubuntu Touch, and that time it was also in combination with my cellular carrier force converting SMS / MMS to RCS behind the scenes, so we disabled RCS and it “fixed” the issue.

J’ai eu connaissance d’un problème similaire il y a quelques années, mais c’était avec Ubuntu Touch, et cette fois-là, c’était aussi en combinaison avec mon opérateur cellulaire qui convertissait les SMS / MMS en RCS dans les coulisses, alors nous avons désactivé RCS et cela a “résolu” le problème.
I have vague memories of something like this happening to me a while ago, but I don’t recall whether it was under IodéOS or LineageOS for microG. I recall that I was able to fix it by clearing Contacts Storage and Phone and Messaging storage, then repopulating them from backed up call logs and messages, and synched contacts.
All my contacts are synched to a NextCloud account using DAVx5. You could also try exporting them to a .vcf file from the Calendar app.
