Contact import vcf

I’m wainting my Pixel7, My old cell phone is broken but I have a backup of my contact in a .vcf file.
I also have those information on a cloud, and they were synchronised with NextCloud and DAVx5.

Wat is the best way to upload the data on my new PIxel ?

A) import the .vcf from my computer ?

B) install NextCloud and DAVx5 and sychronise ?

Thanks in advance

I mean A) and B) are both valid options, the only difference is that the .vcf import via the Contacts app will result in your contacts being stored locally on the device while B) will just load the contacts via the cloud connection. I personally choose option B) also for Calendar, via my self-hosted Nextcloud.

B - its already in a cloud.

I use Infomaniak for that. It syncs contacts and calendar for me all the time (with kSync app).

A for privacy concerns (on B). Stays local, so you need to backup once in a while.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have been wanting to sort out some recommendations for people, and Infomaniak do seem like a great option: kSuite – The ethical and secure collaborative solution . So they give 15GB drive storage and up to 20GB email storage for free for life?!? This may be a superb solution for people coming from platforms that have “free” integrated cloud solutions.

Its a great Google sync replacement. Free storage is way more than free Nextcloud. kDrive also works on Linux.

Strange thing; everything is in fdroid, except kAuth (2 step auth). I had to use Aurora for that.

Sorry, I try to write [RESOLVE] but I don’t find how to edit the title

No need to change the title, you just mark the post, which contains the solution, as “solution”. A little ticked box in the title will appear and the first post in the thread will show where to find the answer/solution.

Even simpler, thank you.
