Change recovery

Hi,
I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy S9 with iodé working perfectly and a TWRP recovery. Unfortunately the recovery asks me for a password despite during the installation I didn’t encrypted the storage. I know it’s a known issue for which is necessary to format data partition, but using a microSD card is possible to flash anyway things. So for now I’m ok with it (in general I need only to flash magisk every iodé update), but I was wondering: can I change the recovery without formatting anything? could I install iodé recovery instead of TWRP without formatting the OS?

Thanks in advance!

Unless Samsung devices are different from the others you can flash the recovery you want using fastboot, there’s no need to format anything
