I believe on other Androids it is possible to set a different screen timeout and screen lock with former preserving the battery and latter the privacy. Is this possible on iodéOS. Please advise.
In the display settings you can set the screen timeout time. In the security settings, you can find the screen lock settings (and after that, the lock settings screen behind the cog icon), where you can set the delay of the screen lock after the timeout. Is that what you meant?
(Note that I did not check whether these settings work as advertised, I never changed them)

Thanks. It was a bit more hidden then I suspected:
Settings → Device unlock→Screen lock→Cog-wheel next “Screen lock”→Lock after screen timeout
I am going to test it. I had 5s which is why I had an impression it was one and the same.
