Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my FP3 with IodéOS.
I installed it in 2022 after a catastrophic upgrade of FairPhone’s own OS, that left me without contacts and WA chat history. After installing IodéOS, I never had any issue.
Today, suddenly the fingerprint reader stopped working in a strange way (I’ll explain below), so I decided to reboot.
From that moment, I can’t go beyond the “Iodé” splash screen, even if I wait for hours. Actually, after some 30 minutes, the back of the phone gets incredibly hot!
I can access the bootloader screen and the recovery panel, but that hardly helps me…
I would love just being able to access the phone storage to recover contacts and WA chat data, does anybody have any clues?
Thank you for reading up to here, people, please help!
One noteworthy thing is that, because of … my personal choices, the installed IodéOS version is 3.3 (I hope that’s not the cause of the disaster, and I actually can’t think of how it could be…)
Here’s a summary of how the disaster came to be:
The phone was stored away in my backpack, I received a notification and opened the app to check.
All of a sudden, the app had lost its authentication session, so I tried to use my fingerprint, but the fingerprint check would fail badly - not just plain fail, but the icon would flash red and the popup would crash.
Again, please, any idea that helps me recover my chats and contacts means very much to me!
Thanks
