BankID ( Norwegian)

For one reason or another the Norwegian BankID app stops working time and again.
After the latest update v 4.8.3 August 25th strange things happened. An absolute irrelevant error message popped up telling med “Something went wrong” Try again later.
My be a coded message for ‘this phone is rooted’ ???

Can anyone help?
Tried disable blocking and even uninstalled Iode browser.
I can use BankID from my laptop so it is working outside the Iode domain.

Is there any method to trace my attempts?
Thanks

Do you use Magisk? I had a similar problem installing SecureGoPlus, an app to authenticate Bank transfers.

Hiding magisk was not enough, I also had to set changing to app name, now it works.
Magisk 29001, Systemless Hosts, no other modules, no Zygisk. Under settings “Enforce denylist” is enabled, and of course under “Configure DenyList” select your app and all sub-apps

I have the exact same issue with both apps you mentioned (Bank Norwegian and Secure plus) but my phone is not rooted. I know the issues of rooting and banking apps since they emerged but as far as iode is concerned, I never had issues before.

Looks like the app maker detects “non-oem” (=unofficial) operating systems and blocks apps.
Is this technically possible and if yes: how do we circumvent it? I don’t want to buy a new phone just because of these stupid banking apps (that you can not live without anymore apparently…)

Can you confirm your iodéOS version number, also under “System Settings > System > microG” is “Google device registration”, “Google SafetyNet”, and settings under “Self-Check” all enabled?

The issue persists if the device registration is enabled and safety net is on. However the safety net certification test fails. I don’t know why that happens.

Google shut down the servers that handled the verification tests a few months back.

If you can access your banking from a web browser, you may be able to make a “PWA” from iodé browser by choosing “Add to Home screen” from the “3 dot” menu when on the page.
