Brief Description:

Hello iodeOS Team!

I found a bug regarding Auto-brightness feature;

This issue happened outdoor especially during bright sunlight.
Interestingly, it has no issue indoor(rooms) with LED lighting.
Hope this help and will provide logs if needed.
Thank you in advance :blush:

Step-by-step reproduction of the issue:

  1. Turn-off Auto-Brightness feature
  2. Set brightness to atleast 40%
  3. Go outside or outdoor during sunlight then back to shadowy places(do this back and forth if needed)
  4. You’ll notice the bug

Expected behaviour: Should work normally as intended

Actual behaviour: Said issue

Update: still an issue on IodeOS(7.3 latest stable build)

Wondering if other devices report similar issues? I’ll try to test in the near future (can do it on a Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 6, Pixel 3a XL, and a Brax3) but giving a bit of a “bump” here to see if others can confirm or deny for their devices?

Actually I have a Moto G 5G (2024) fogo here to ship out to a customer, I will perform this test with it and report back in the next day.

Sure and thank you for taking up the issue :folded_hands:

I couldn’t re-create the issue. It could be fogo doesn’t show the problem, or it could be that it is on v7.3, or it could be I didn’t test correctly. But I then needed to ship the device out so I can’t re-test.
