Thank you for your reply and hint. It is enabled and the app doesn’t show in ‘uses SafetyNet’.
OwnTracks hasn’t worked well since QPR1. Especially not in the mode of major changes. However, this is also a problem on StockOS, as I understood. GrapheneOS seems to have fixed this itself.
Maybe IodeOS can do something. Or the developer will find a possibility.
Before QPR1, it had worked wonderfully.
Thank you for letting me know, @teatimetom ! I may look into the service called FollowMee, which seems to be less invasive than Life360. Definitely not as private as running OwnTracks through a home lab, but better than our present arrangement.
You can also try Zood Location, Paralino and Family Link
Thank you again! Wow…I’d never heard of these three. Family Link, being a Google product, is out by default, and Zood Location doesn’t yet have an iOS app (my family members are iPhone users), but Paralino looks like a great contender to FollowMee. Again, I appreciate your input!
We may need to split this table into different sections. Honestly a table this big is quite unwieldy to use in Discourse. I’ll check with the team if there is a better idea we can come up with.
Hi, i’ve tried to install the Wizz Air (flight company) app with Aurora store. The install process goes flawlessy, but i’m not able to open the app. It immendiatly close! What could it be? The app itself, microg? Custom rom issue generally?
Device: FP5
Iodeos 7.3
Exactly the same behaviour running LineageOS for microG, so not specific to iodéOS
Tried also the SecureGo+ with similar (bad) results: When trying to register the App(s) start connecting but after minutes there is a message that service is currently unavailable.
In the iode blocker there is no hint what might be the reason.
EDIT:
So: both Wero and SecureGo+ DO NOT work for me with my iode tablet and iode 7.3
Additional comments:
- There two Pixels in my family now and they do not have any problems with the SecureGo+ App which leads to some frustration on my side.
- I will have to contact support of my bank (and explain to them what iode is

You mean don’t work for you, right?
Still discussing with the team where to put this that would allow user contributions but be a bit more usable. A publicly editable site (no login) seems ripe for spam abuse, so that is where we are a bit stuck: we don’t want to require (or maintain) yet another user account management location, so it may be we need to stay to Discourse but split the table into some categories (I’ll probably do that with grep, sed, awk, etc. to massage the markdown if no better ideas come to the forefront).
Thx for the hint - I corrected my post.
Hi all.
Just to join forces, have considered a systematic use of Plexus app reporting to share the info? Or is it already the case?
No there is no link with them. I’ll inquire with the team if they would consider pre-installing it in iodé, then advise people to use it for reporting working and non-working apps.
Update for ChatGPT (sorry, I can’t edit the list):
app working for my Pixel 5 with iodéOS 7.4-20260401-redfin
The last update of Revolut v10.128 is not Working anymore on iodé 7.4 (security message)
I would suggest removing all the apps from F-Droid from the list. I’ve never really understood the point of including them anyway. And that would free up a few more characters.
Have you tried installing the app using the microG Installer (instead of the AuroraStore Installer)?
You just cannot be serious! Surely the whole point of a FOSS OS is to support the FOSS dev’ community by using and promoting the use of FOSS app’s where ever possible. Also it needs to be remembered that some iode users are exclusively FOSS users, whilst others are doing their best to move toward a 0% dependency on screwgle, just in case the day when the big G finally pulls the plug arrives sooner than expected.
I agree that two seperate lists makes sense if it solves a problem but removing FOSS app’s completely? Sacrilege! ![]()
Is there an objective reason for choosing these particular FOSS apps? I’ve long been bothered by the selection of FOSS apps; in some cases, there are objectively better ones (more features, more frequent updates). A list like this, which is so subjective, shouldn’t be maintained. This is about Play Store apps where you’d expect them to work or not work, and where you’d want to provide feedback, similar to Plexus.
