App updates need user confirmation on Aurora Store, is it normal?

Hi folks.

I’m on crownlte running iodéOS 4.23.

In contrast to F-Droid, Aurora Store always asks for confirmation on every update. Furthermore, it doesn’t update apps autimatically; you have to open Aurora Store an do update all.

It doesn’t end there; you still have to keep Aurora Store on screen (while updating) to allow the update confirmation to pop up. Otherwise, the confirmation wouldn’t appear and you’d have to restart the whole process.

Is this behaviour a bug or expected?

Thanks!

What you’re describing is actually expected behavior with Aurora Store. It’s due to how Aurora works as a third-party client for the Google Play Store without privileged permissions.

I just realised that iodéOS does not have that Aurora privilege extension. I thought it did. I misremembered it with something else I guess.

If I’m right, yes, it did … Ages ago
