I recently updated to iodeOS 7 based on the instructions here. Since the update android auto has been experiencing a lot of disconnects. I have had many instances where it would disconnect rabdomly. Is someone else experiencing this? Is there any way to reset android auto i am not sure if that will fix it.
Update: realized the reason that it keeps getting disconnected is because i have turn off wifi automatically setting enabled. I believe this was one of the fixes in iodeos 7.0. Wondering if we can not turn off wifi when a network is not connected.
No problems here; pixel 9a /iodé 7 –> renault. This was clean install.
Dont think it has anything to do with wifi. Your bluetooth is also Off on purpose ?
Under connected devices you can choose Forget. And you could clear data in appsettings.
In some vehicles with Android Auto installed in the head unit it requires both USB and Bluetooth connection (from the phone) to the vehicle simultaneously, for AA to function. So this might also be worth checking, especially if you have a slightly older vehicle …

So i tried a number of experiments. I tried reducing the time for my wifi to shutoff automatically, android auto wireless also shutoff everytime the wifi went off. In the second case i imcreased the time and AA was on for longer. So my suspicion is that when there is no internet commection through the wifi, it turns it off.
My vehicle is 2025 Hyundai and i was using iode 6.9 and it was working just fine. The wired connection still works fine, it is only the wireless that is the issue.
