What allows AdGuard to collect statistics on their users is the use of AdGuard’s DNS server. Users of the iodé blocker may be happy to know that iodé doesn’t have statistics on blocked requests, as such traffic never leaves the device.

Tbf, this doesn’t apply to Adguard Home, which is adguards selfhostable DNS Server (Open Source btw.). So it’s pretty much the same as iodeOS’ tracker. And I don’t know for sure but I heard in their apps and the extensions it is opt-out. So it’s not THAT bad.

Nevertheless, it’s cool iodeOS doesn’t do stuff like that.
