I’ve never really used the iodé app, but whilst having endless difficulties with the ‘Wire’ communication app I thought I’d look to see anything was being blocked that could be the cause of the problem. Under the per-app blockings, I tapped on the spanner icon for Wire, and under ‘complementary’, the only thing not greyed out was Customized blockings (advanced). So, curious what those customizations are, I tapped on that and it simply deactivated it and greyed it out like everything else. Now if I tap it again I get the nag dialog for iodéOS Premium. So I’ve no idea what was being blocked and I can’t return it to the same state.
Regardless, it’s not changed anything in Wire, which I’ve been ‘using’ (fighting with) for donkeys’ years. A reoccurring problem that spans countless updates (which they’ve mentioned as fixed before but it keeps coming back) is a message at the top upon opening, ‘WAITING FOR NETWORK’. I’m on wifi, I’m half a metre away from the router and the signal is strong. Doesn’t matter if I close Wire, activate Mobile Data and reopen Wire, it still shows the same message, and this has caused unending difficulties trying to establish communications. Usually at some random point the message will disappear. Sometimes I’ve needed to reboot my Fairphone 3+. Anybody else know this problem?
