If my memory serves me correct, there was Aurora Privileged Extension on iode so it was possible to install and update apps from Aurora Store in the background. However, currently doing so is not possible and there’s no Aurora Privileged Extension. Why was it removed tho?
It wasn’t removed, Aurora should be privileged, and indeed some apps will auto-install, but yes for most it isn’t working. I just got notified today that there are some patch(es) being applied that should come with the next beta to hopefully address these issues.
… is deprecated, has been for sometime, and is not needed for unattended installation. Support has been removed since v4.5.0 of the AuroraStore - see: Deprecate native and aurora services installer support (#967) · Issues · Aurora OSS / AuroraStore · GitLab. Aurora Store now uses the session installer, which is capable of unattended installation (when the bug fixed have been included in the Iodé fork version). I am running v4.7.4 from F-Droid on my los4microG devices - with no Privileged Extension - and unattended installation works fine.
