I can download either branch. Previously I have mostly been on Andrid 10. Is there a compelling reason to run Android 16 over 13 ? I dont use banking or payment apps. I would like to have max battery life. Both versions are updated regularly… Is this question documented already somewhere ?

Samsung S10 and S10e, unofficial builds available for installation on iode stable distribution channel. Both 4.36 and 7.7 were updated in past days..
7.7 starts to imply voLTE in S10 series,
not sure about 4.36.

Any feedback on the banking app side of things? I’m struggling with the same problem before going overseas.
Having spent some time with 4.37 on both s10 and s10e, I moved to 7.7 to try it out…
Here is a short summary of my update operations. Firstly I use Swift backup with Magisk / Lygisk. Tihis allows saving apps and most of their data (with root permissions) and speeds up reinstallation. I save sms and calls with SMS backup & restore, and save all my calendar and contacts data.
First up I remove sdcard to avoid any potential corruption of my saved data. Boot to bootload and Heimdall flash CRDroid recovery from Android 16 (crdroid12). It is more lenient on signature acceptance. Reboot to recovery and adb sideload iodeos 7.6 ota zip. Reports one partition error error but mostly completes with success.Wipe data and cache. Reboot iodeos, begin setup just to get developper options and adb. Adb reboot bootloader and heimdall flash iode 7.6 recovery. Adb reboot recovery, reflash via adb sideload iodeos 7.6 ota zip. This completes with no error. Wipe data and wipe cache, reboot to iode. Go through first serup to personalise as required by me. Adb reboot to bootloader and heimdall flash crdroid12 recovery. Reboot to recovery to flash Magisk zip. Iode recovery prevents flashing Magisk… Power off reinser sdcard with backup data. Reboot, install Swift backup, and allow superuser rights and install unknown sources. Restore full backup, then contacts, call logs and sms/mms. Create local etar calendar and restore all events. et Voila !
Then I updated to 7.7 with the updater app, then reboot recovery to wipe cache. Previously I had excessive battery drain when not wiping cache. Some of the above steps may be superfluous. But they worked for me.

Quick comparison pros/cons. Iodeos 7.6 has android auto built in and works out of the box. It allows wifi calling when no mobile network available, and 7.7 includes Volte. So far no issues experienced. Iodroid search does not seem to work very well though ??

download Magisk.apk latest (30.7). Rename to Magisk.zip. Heimdall flash recovery from crdroid12 (android 16). Reboot to recovery and update by adb. adb sideload Magisk.zip. Reboot system and open Magisk app. Accept to complete installation by direct option. Reboot..
Does the VoLTE work on the S10 on your carrier?

I am not sure… First my sim is in my s10e. How can I tell if / when volte works ?
No issues so far with my few apps. But I never use any banking apps by choice..I can say previously going non-google on AOSP or Lineage I often faced problems, which I have not seen with IodeOS.
Disable WiFi, make a regular phone call and at the same time try to open a website with your browser. If it works - VoLTE works!
