Where is iodé Calendar apk located?

Hi

By mistake, I uninstalled Calendar from the Pre-installed App menu…

The thing is the Pre-installed App feature is seriously broken; at least on Fairphone5. I hope a fix will be provided soon as it is very annoying.

Once uninstalled, some applications cannot be installed again. Even if it appears installed, there is no icon and no app on the app list.

As I did for ioDroid and Aurora, it is needed to get a version from somewhere else and uninstall its update afterwards. Unable to reinstall Aurora and ioDroid on FP5 - #3 by squidf

However, I am not able to find iodé Calendar in ioDroid. I found only Fossify Calendar.

Where to find the source / apk of iodé Calendar?

The default calendar, along with several other defaults, are simply the LineageOS components, that I don’t think they post to F-Droid.

Thanks @rik

I will look for a LineageOS repo. Or would you have a link, already?

Weird thing: I uninstalled Calendar from the Pre-installed App settings, as it was showed as installed, even if not visible anywhere. After reboot, I have a trace of the installation of Carnet, even if not selected for installation: I have now an icon named com.spisoft.quicknote.Myapplication

“Of course”, Carnet is not working; this icon cannot even launch anything.

Is it an option Carnet has messed up Pre-installed App settings?

Sorry I didn’t have a link for you, but I (or you?) may be able to get the APK from Seedvault. I am not at home now thus not too good of support.

BTW on your Aurora thread I passed it to Vincent to see if he can uncover a clue with your workaround to help find and fix the bug!

Thanks for passing my “findings” to Vincent.

I have a backup on Seedvault. I have tried to restore the app but it didn’t work. I will investigate whether there is an APK in the backup folder.

Edit: everything looks encrypted (of course…). Did you have a specific way in mind to retrieve an APK from Seedvault? Apart from trying to restore the app from the Backup menu.

Edit2: found this link, but Calendar is not in  https://www.sebaubuntu.dev/lineageapps.html

Vincent noted that your solution to install an apk manually to then reset the Preinstalled App confusion is a valid workaround to clear the problem.

Now to find the .apk, this could maybe work even though a few years old? https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/lineageos/lineageos-calendar/lineageos-calendar-14-release/lineageos-calendar-14-android-apk-download/

You can also use the Fossify calendar available in ioDroid.

Yes but the main value here is to “un-break / un-confuse” Preinstalled Apps, which again I think we are seeing is only an issue for the FP5.
