The answers were good, but the AI tracked my location. Yet I had revoked WhatsApp’s permission to access my location…
Very disturbing
I suspect they are gathering info differently and aggregating it to locate you. You can view “System Settings > Location > Recent Access” to confirm that WhatsApp is not granted access there.
What they do in their own app / server that you are voluntarily accessing but that is not public is beyond anyone’s knowledge as it is not open source, and is well beyond the scope of iodéOS. Sorry.

WhatsApp servers will use geolocation of your IP address, regardless of what precautions you take on your device. To avoid this use a VPN. But it might be too late, this is Meta, they’ve got their nips in you now, they won’t let go …
