Weird issue: USB-C port crashes when I touch fingerprint sensor after screen times out

OK, so this one is new to me.

I have a Fairphone 4 that I put iode on a few days ago. I use Qobuz as my music service. I have Apple Airpod Pro 2’s paired, and that has worked fine. I also have a Samsung Soundbar that has been paired and works fine.

Tonight, I connected my Sennheiser cabled earbuds, via an FIOS DAC to the USB-C port.

This has worked without issue under my old OS, e/os, which was A13.

So the issue is that when the screen times out (1 minute) while playing music, when I touch the fingerprint reader to unlock, the music can no longer be heard. First I tried killing Qobuz, but that didn’t help.

To fix, I pull the USB-C to the DAC, reconnect, and I can then hit play and play music again.

This is very reproducable for me. Like as in I have a procedure now. Don’t touch the fingerprint reader until the song ends… lol

Also, If I manually blank the screen, it doesn’t seen to do it. I’m still playing with all the sceneros, but I can crash the port pretty much anytime with the timeout.

*** Update ***

So I tried this with a passive USB-C to 3.5m connector, and it doesn’t happen. So it’s related to my DAC. I also found that if I tap the status bar at the top of the screen (twice to blank it out) the music stops for about 2 seconds, until the screen cuts off, then starts playing. Then, as soon as I touch the fingerprint sensor, the USB port drops out and I have to disconnect/reconnect.

I’m going to fully charge my DAC, and then see if I get the same results or not.
