Do you know if the proximity sensor and captive portal detection issues also occur in the recent 21.0 builds of LineageOS and / or LineageOS for microG?
I’m afraid I’m not able to triage, investigate or fix these issues, as I no longer have access to an XZ1C running IodéOS. (Also, lots happening in LOS for microG project just now, which is taking u mots of my time.)
Both things work fine for me with IodeOS 5.x. Maybe the proximity sensor is not calibrated? Try deleting cache / dalvik cache . In worst case, flash latest Sony Rom with newflasher and try the Hardware test there.
Captive portal works for me. You need to activate Settings → Network → Connectivity Check
@petefoth Thanks for the statement regarding the Sony camera app. unfortunately, I understand too little from ROM making to put this into LineageOS 21 / IodeOS. But maybe if it is more advanced some one on XDA will manage this.
Regarding the backup / restore with TWRP: I’ll simply try and report here.
I managed to solve the sensor problem. All I needed was an app from F-droid called Fossify Phone. As for the captive portal, I had this option turned off and on, and it still didn’t work, but I’m not going to worry about that.
No the server is running, but it won’t be serving any content until we have completed some necessary maintenance. I can’t give an ETA for that: it will tae as long as it takes. But I will be very disappointed if we haven’t started serving at least some content by the end of the weekend
Will we find the iodeOS files under ‘https://download.lineage.microg.org/IodeOS/lilac/’ again? As you’re setting up the server anew alphabetically, I suppose iode will come after the regular Lineage/MicroG ROMs?
Yes. The LineageOS for microG builds are the priority at the moment. I won’t be making any new IodéOS builds until all of those are done, which will be a while I’m afraid.
Yes. Although we (the los4microG project maintainers) are convinced that no compromised builds were uploaded to the download server, we cannot guarantee it, so we will only upload new builds signed with the new keys.
When it comes to the Iodé build for lilac, I know it is not compromised: the build on the server is bit-for-bit the same as the build I downloaded to my computer as soon as it was made. So it can be used with no risk
First of all, I am sorry with the struggles you had with your server and the build keys. But I also like how you transparently described everything in your lso4mocroG wiki.
I’m still on version iodeos 5.17-202510006-lilac and I think I’ll wait until the builds are on the los4microG server again. Do I understand properly that once a new build is made dirtyflash is not possible and we rather need to backup everything with the Android Backup Project and then make a clean flash of the iodeos build with the new signing keys and restore the apps and settings with Android Backup Project? Or is the dirtyflash still possible by selecting “install anyway - yes” in the recovery?
