# Switch from LineageOS to Iode without data loss?

Can I switch from LineageOS to Iode without data loss?  
And if so - how?

Possible - using [Android Backup and Restore Tools project](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tools-zips-scripts-android-backup-and-restore-tools-multiple-devices-platforms.4016617/) - if both your LineageOS ROM and the IodéOS ROM support rooted debugging. Unfortunately, the official IodéOS ROMs _ **do not** _ support rooted debugging (because they are `user` builds).

Your only hope would be an unofficial `user-debug` build of IodéOS.

What device are you hoping to migrate?

Not completely: it is entirely possible to make ‘user-debug’ builds.
