Scrolling screenshots

Hi all, just a minor question: I cannot find the function to “Capture more” when taking a screenshot with my Pixel 7 Pro phone (running iodeos 6.7 & Android 15). Before I could always click “capture more” and do a scrolling screenshot to get a longer website into one screenshot. All how-tos on the web also show this solution. Is this a feature that just isn’t present in iodeos or that isn’t present upstream (i.e. in the current android version). I could of course live without it, but maybe there is some easy solution I’m not seeing right now.

Thanks

Hi, that feature was certainly present in my Pixel 8 on iodé 6.9, there was the option to “capture more” in the screenshot menu. Why are you still on 6.7? Maybe try latest stable 6.9 to see if the menu appears. However on iodé beta 7.0-20251129 this option is actually missing there. @rik maybe you could report this to the team or create a gitlab ticket?

Edit: it seems to depend on the app. The “capture more” button is present (also on 7.0 beta) when I take for example a screenshot in Settings, but isn’t present when I take a screenshot in iodé browser.

The apps must provide the appropriate developer API for this purpose.

Ah OK, that makes sense! It really depends on the app. Thanks

Regarding the iodeos version: thanks for pointing that out. I expected it to automatically install any update or at least tell me when there is an update. But since my system didn’t mention it, I didn’t know that there was an update. I’m running 6.9 now, too.

Replying on an old-ish thread just in case someone else has the same problem I had.
When I pressed the power button and the volume down button, it showed me the screenshot and let me crop it, but didn’t give me any options like Share, Edit, Delete, or Capture More.

When I hit the screenshot button in the app drop-down in the task switcher, it gave me the first three options, but not Capture More.

I went into settings and searched for “Screenshot”
You’ll see an item listed as “Click for partial screenshot”
The partial is the issue. Tap on that item, and then in the next screen labeled “Buttons” make sure that “Click to partial screenshot” is OFF.

Then when you do the power and volume-down button combo, you’ll get that menu with Capture More once again.

As others have said, not all apps support it, but the settings app definitely does, so if you need to test yours, that’s a sure-fire way to do it.
