@petefoth thanks for the above! Based on your note I downloaded and ran the Treble Info on the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G (from Fdroid) and it says “GSI found! Your device reports supporting Project Treble. The type of system Image required is: system-arm-64-ab.ing.xz”.
When I click the github link there: Releases · TrebleDroid/treble_experimentations · GitHub , the closest files I could find with that description were: ‘system-td-arm64-ab-vanilla.img.xz’ and ‘system-td-arm32_binder64-ab-vanilla.img.xz’ Both these files give error: Cant Open file (I downloaded via brave browser on phone)
PS: I am running Samsung One UI 7.0 with Android15 and these files that I tried to run were listed for Android15.
What I can do to fix this and to run GSI on the phone?
I have a technology background, but limited mobile OS/ AOSP background, so if you could tell me the steps to go about after running the GSI to install iodeOS that would be great! Feels like I am getting closer… Thanks!!
You don’t install the GSI by downloading it to the phone in a browser and trying to run it. You download it to a computer, and use tools on the computer to flash the GSI to the phone. If you flash the iodéOS GSI, then you have installed iodéOS.
The steps to install any GSI will probably work to install most other GSI’s including the iodéOS GSI. There may be a post in this forum describing how to flash the iodéOS GSI on your phone. Or you can do an internet search for e.g. install gsi Samsung Galaxy A15 5G. Sorry, I’m not going to do that work for you
