Problem with youtube

bonjour a tous. J’ai un probleme avec youtube sur Samsung S10e.
En effet, quand je lance une vidéo elle démarre mais au bout de 30 secondes environ, elle charge indefiniment.
Si je relance une autre video et que je reviens sur la premiere, elle redemarre sans probleme mais de nouveau charge indefiniment.
Suis je le seul dans ce cas ? J’ai pas super envi de rebooter tout le systeme, il y a 60Go (sur128) d’applis

Hello everyone. I have a problem with youtube on Samsung S10e.
When I start a video it starts but after about 30 seconds it loads indefinitely.
If I start another video and go back to the first one, it starts again without problem but loads indefinitely.
Am I the only one in this case? I don’t really want to reboot the whole system, there are 60GB (out of 128) of apps

Hi
I would suggest using an alternative Youtube app. They can help with privacy and offer additional features like background / screen off playback.
Personally, i use NewPipe
PS: you should install it via its own repository

Thank you for your reply. I have already tested NewPipe… It doesn’t seem convincing to me because you can’t use your account. And I have many subscriptions that I like.

I don’t understand why YT doesn’t work anymore because I’ve been using it for months without any problem. It’s really strange

Hi, I confirm the issue (for iodéOS 4.2 beta right ?).
Curiously: fullscreen playing in youtube seems to work. We’ll investigate.

EDIT: no, it works longer, but eventually hangs too…

C’est vrai, il y a une petite manipulation à faire, mais c’est possible
Cela dit, pas de playlist possible… Et je t’assure que faire un long trajet en voiture avec mes 4 gamins sans playlist… Je n’y survivrais pas
Mais comme c’est ponctuelle, je vais essayer de dompter LibreTube (j’ai pas trouvé NPipe sur fdroid) et garder YT mais avec le navigateur

It’s true, there’s a little manipulation to do, but it’s possible
That said, no playlist possible… And I assure you that taking a long drive with my 4 kids without a playlist… I wouldn’t survive it
But as it’s a one-off, I’ll try to tame LibreTube (I couldn’t find NPipe on fdroid) and keep YT but with the browser

Sur NewPipe tu peux faire des playlist sans soucis.

Pour le récupérer, tu peux soit directement sur le site de NewPipe ou Fdroud en ajoutant la source sinon via Néo une alternative a Fdroid.

I had the same problem over the last week, but I can confirm that it works again (Fairphone 4, iodéOS 4.1)

I spoke too soon, too, but the other way round. It worked for a few days, but at the moment it’s not working for me.
